It is with regret that the members of the Playford Christmas Pageant Committee announce the cancellation of this year’s Pageant. Unfortunately, SA Health has put ALL COVID Management Plans on hold until they have had a chance to discuss the borders opening on the 23rd November and their COVID preparedness for South Australia. This created an unsustainable delay that made planning the event impossible for this year, based on complexity and expense.
We are disappointed that SA Health have taken so long to notify everyone with plans submitted and equally disappointed that we have been forced into this position, as we had submitted our plans weeks ago.
In the meantime, we are still proceeding with our fundraising efforts. Our community raffle has been out selling tickets in the local community and we want you to help us sell as many as we can. So if you see us, please buy one. Every ticket is $2 put straight back into putting the pageant on each year. Everyone is a volunteer, so all the money goes into no one’s pocket.
It is our pleasure to announce that we are offering every local club, community group, small business or other eligible organisation the chance to win $500 cash for your organisation, by selling the most raffle tickets for us. So we want any and all interested clubs, schools, community groups or local small businesses to sell our raffle tickets. To get on board, simply email us to order your books and we’ll arrange either pickup or delivery of the books with you. Sell and return the money and the stubs to us before the day of the draw to win. There will be an online leader board so you can track your progress via our website and you can order more books through the contact section on the website too. Only returned and paid for books will be counted and the winner will be announced at the time of the draw.
