In accordance with Constitution Section 7.1, the 2023 AGM is being held on 26th February 2023 at Elizabeth RSL 2:30pm. Notifications will be issued by Facebook and via our Website which are both public forums.
Under Section 8.4, Nominations are being sought for election to the Executive Committee. Under Section 8.5, these nominations must be received in writing and must be:
1. Signed by the Nominee
2. Signed by an Existing Member
3. Submitted to the Current Administration Secretary no less than 7 days before the AGM#
Under Section 8.1.4, Excutive Committee Members, being Elected at the AGM, are:
b. Vice Chairperson
d. Administration Secretary
These positions are elected at the AGM by secret ballot and overseen by a member of the public (a non-member, who would be considered impartial and ineligible for election) as the returning officer. To be eligible for Nomination and Election to these positions, you must be considered an Ordinary Member who is eligible to vote at the AGM under Section 6.1.2. This is a member who has been accepted for 6 months or more.
Only the 4 above positions will be elected at the AGM as all other positions are Appointed at the first General Meeting as per Sections 8.1.4(1)(e) & 8.8. All appointed positions and are open for anyone to nominate by filling out a Committee Nomination Form.
ALL EXECUTIVE NOMINATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED AT LEAST 7 DAYS BEFORE THE AGM. SUBMISSIONS AFTER THIS DATE WILL NOT BE VALID AS PER THE CONSTITUTION
Casual Appointments can be made for positions that remain vacant after nominations close as per the constitution. It is recommended to fill out a Volunteer Registration form if you are not a member or contact us if you have already done this in order to be considered for any vacancies after the closure of nominations.
